Fun Run, Parade, Water Fight, Ducky Derby, Rhubarb Festival and the new Silverton Treasure Hunt! The Western Slope's biggest and most spectacular fireworks take place around 9pm.

Blue Ribbon Fun Run/Walk: The Blue Ribbon Fun Run was started in the early 1980's by local Runner, Ken Safranski and has been a tradition ever since. Registration for the run will be at Memorial Park at 6:30 A.M. Race starts at 7:30 A.M. For more information contact 387.5228.

4th of July Hometown Parade: Look for floats, motorcycles, cowboys, fireman, and Silverton's very own Brass Band. The parade will line up at 9:30 and start at 10:30 A.M. in front of the Carriage House.

Annual Water Fight: The finale to our parade entails the Silverton San Juan Volunteer Fire Department and the Animas Fire Department facing off with their toys for an extravagant water fight - the likes of which you have never seen. This big boy's game will take place at the intersection of Greene Street and 14th Street. We suggest that you watch this event from afar. (weather permitting)

International Rhubarb Festival: The Silverton's Friends of the Library proudly sponsor the Annual International Rhubarb Festival beginning after the parade at Memorial Park. Come and try the delectable rhubarb treats (you could only find in Silverton) & top it off with ice cream, if you like. These scrumptious delights will be for sale as long as they last, so don't miss out. All proceeds benefit the Silverton Public Library.

5th Annual Ducky Derby The Silverton Chamber of Commerce puts on this unique event. Cash Prizes and tons of fun on Cement Creek. Race starts at 3 PM. To purchase your duckie ahead of time, contact 970.387.5654 Silverton Brass Band: If you did not hear enough of Silverton's very own Brass Band. Head on over to the park and listen to the free Brass Band Concert as you enjoy the Rhubarb Festival Old Fashioned 4th of July
