Campaign Diary 4. The Bad Three.

By Bob - Posted on 24 June 2010

The San Juan County Commissioners met last night, June 23. The main item discussed was Quad-County Resolution 2010-1 opposing The Bad Three, Proposition 101 and Amendments 60 and 61 on the November ballot.
Quad-County refers to the meeting held earlier in June in Lake City of commissioners from Hinsdale, San Miguel, Ouray and San Juan counties to talk about matters of mutual interest. The Bad Three ballot measures are the brainstorm of Doublas Bruce, the man behind TABOR, the so-called Tax Payers Bill of Rights which has strangled Colorado's budget for a generation. The trio promise tax relief, but they will cripple Colorado's ability to maintain safe roads and bridges, create financial chaos for school districts and municipalities and eliminate ways for local governments to construct new buildings and make other capital improvements.
On another subject, join me on your bicycle in the July 4 parade. I'll be riding one of Ron Pence's town bikes festooned with American flags and Vote for Bob signs. Focus on the Future. Vote on November 2.
